Cinépolis moving forward, new retail in All Saints, fresh facades abound

Building Permit Pulled for Cinépolis Luxury Cinema

Cinépolis USA, the newest entrant into the Tallahassee movie theatre market, has pulled building permits for its planned location at Market Square. While no contractor has been decided on for the actual construction, the company has submitted updated renderings and site plans detailing the final specifications on what the upscale movie theatre will eventually look like. The Cinépolis brand is renowned for its cinema experience, offering features such as reclining leather seats, a full bar, and a gourmet kitchen. The Tallahassee location will have 8 auditoriums along with the amenities listed above.

Adaptive Reuse Project done, Yoga Studio Moving In

Another portion of Greenleaf Twin LLC's redevelopment of a stretch of adjoining buildings near TMH is nearing completion. CaliFlo Yoga Collective will be moving into the newly refurbished building at 1225 Miccosukee Rd. The 1,959 sqft structure, previously utilized as medical offices, has been renovated with an updated facade, new offices and showers, and adequate room for the new tenant's studio space. The yoga studio plans to open its doors next month.

Tampa Developer to Build Tailgater's Dream

The proprietor of a Tampa-based insurance firm has acquired land in Collegetown and submitted plans for for a unique housing development. He intends to construct a 3-story duplex, each unit having a 3 bedroom / 3 bath layout. The 2nd floor is intended for student occupants, while the 3rd floor will be reserved for their visiting parents. The base floor and parking area will be plumbed with a half-bath and summer kitchen, and will serve as an entertaining space and tailgate spot.

New Retail Building Coming to Railroad Ave

As the perennial coffeeshop Black Dog Cafe reduces its footprint back to just a Lake Ella location, more changes are coming to All Saints. Now owning the outparcel located at 1000 Railroad Ave, the developer Mountain Shore Properties LLC intends to construct a new retail building. The included rendering by Lewis + Whitlock shows the planned 6,247 sqft structure which will be subdivided into 3 separate units.

Renovations Expected for 1717 West Tennessee

The former site of Market Square Liquors, and prior to that the original iteration of Proof, is set to receive extensive renovations as seen in this Conn & Associates rendering. This prime location on West Tennessee St has been vacant for quite sometime but recently changed hands. The new owners are set to refurbish the structure, built in 1976, to bring it a refreshed look more suited for commercial activity along the active student corridor.
